Seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join an established and growing business in the Truro area on a permanent part time basis of 22.5 hours per week,
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in Finance, have a good eye for detail and be able to work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
This role will principally be office based but with scope for some hybrid/flexible working following completion of probation.
This role will see the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in assisting with the day-to-day bookkeeping and general accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Finance Manager with all aspects of day-to-day accounting
Management of the accounts inbox during working hours
Take lead responsibility for the maintenance of the accounts payable function - transactional processing of invoices following policies and procedures, manage and control invoices held in query, preparation of BACS payments and supplier statement reconciliations
Preparation of the monthly payroll and related statutory payments
All aspects of Bank - transactional processing of payments and receipts and bank reconciliations for the numerous business entities
Help to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledgers
Post credit card transactions, reconcile the monthly statement and raise recharge invoices
Opportunities to identify and implement improvement across the finance department
Required Qualifications/Skills and Experience:
AAT part/fully qualified preferred but not essential
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Ideally a working knowledge of Sage Payroll
2 years Previous experience in an accounts role
Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
Ability to prioritise
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Sensitivity to the confidential nature of financial data
Own transport is essential due to location
