The SEO Specialist/Account Manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing effective SEO strategies to improve the online visibility and performance of client websites. This position involves a blend of strategic planning, technical SEO, and client management to deliver exceptional results across various industries.

Client Understanding and Relationship Management:

  • Understand the client goals, intent, and requirements to tailor SEO strategies effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Communicate SEO progress and results to clients, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

SEO Strategy and Implementation:

  • Research, develop, and implement comprehensive on-site and off-site SEO strategies for new and existing websites.

  • Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords and phrases for improved search engine rankings.

  • Perform site audits, competitor analysis, and identify opportunities for optimisation and growth.

  • Develop and optimise site architecture, content, and technical elements to enhance SEO performance.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis

  • Use SEO tools to track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics.

  • Continuously monitor site performance, making data-driven decisions to optimise rankings and traffic.

  • Stay up-to-date with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments to adapt strategies accordingly.

Content and Social Media Integration:

  • Create and optimise SEO-friendly content to drive traffic and engage users.

  • Utilise social media platforms to support SEO efforts and enhance overall online presence.

  • Collaborate with content, development, and graphics teams to ensure cohesive and effective execution of strategies.

Technical SEO and Site Maintenance

  • Make technical recommendations and basic edits on platforms like WordPress to improve SEO.

  • Implement and manage backlink strategies to build authority and credibility.

  • Ensure websites are technically sound and follow SEO best practices.

Team Collaboration and Development:

  • Work closely with the SEO team to share ideas, problems, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and knowledge in SEO practices.

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging the sharing of best practices.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Skills and Knowledge

SEO Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of organic SEO, including keyword research, technical SEO, and link building.

  • Proficient in using SEO tools such as SEMRush, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Moz, and Google Search Console.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their impact on SEO.

  • Experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Preferred: A degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in SEO, including technical SEO, content marketing, and client management.
