​My client, a leading business within the engineering industry, is seeking a Mechanical Fitter/Assembly Engineer to work in their head office near Redruth. The role will include the management and operation of new builds, alongside maintenance and servicing as required. The products include electrical, hydraulic and mechanical machines and assemblies so proven knowledge of each will be essential.

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and capable of managing their time and resources effectively in order to meet product and project deadlines. This is a full time permanent role working a 37.5 hour week (07:00-15:00).

Key Tasks

  • Mechanical fitting.

  • New build assembly and testing.

  • Maintenance and commissioning of hydraulic systems.

  • On site troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Pre delivery inspections.

  • Post receipt inspections and repairs.

Essential Requirements

  • 3 years industry relevant experience minimum.

  • Relevant qualification in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical fitting and assembly.

  • Evidence of previous supervisory experience would be beneficial.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Valid passport.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
